I've lost count of the number of times someone has said "Morgen" in my vicinity and caused my head to snap their way. It doesn't help that people frequently skip the "guten" entirely and go straight to "Morgen!", or that "Morgen" also means tomorrow, or that they're almost phonetically identical. I do say, it does take the edge off knowing that, for once, those people saying your name are probably not talking about you.
And so this blog detailing my adventures in Deutschland was birthed on a bad pun.
